The new Inline restaurant is located at Victoria Place Shopping Centre in the heart of Woking. The latest Burger King site was previously a Bills restaurant and has undergone a full and extensive refurbishment internally to both floor levels including new external logos, signage and colour schemes.
Sprint were consulted and open to the challenge of designing and implementing the latest Burger King DSS Open Format kitchen modular platform with the latest Home Delivery Section included, into a building not originally designed to accommodate the Burger King operational platform.
The Open Format kitchen concept provides customers with a clearer view into the production area of the kitchen.
The existing walk-in chiller was retained, however this was fully refurbished with new remote refrigeration system and a new walk-in freezer added. The kitchen equipment supplied and installed by Sprint conforms to Burger King’s mandated modular platform to ensure cooking/holding/preparation and wash up areas conform to the highest hygienic and operational standards. These operations were split over two floors, with the preparation, dry store and coldrooms located on the first floor.
Adrian Sharpe, Project Manager says: “Sprint’s close working relationship with the BK Project Manager, Project Manager and contractors enabled the Projects Team to efficiently deliver the kitchen on time and to budget, within a particularly challenging timeframe.
