Sprint install the new Burger King restaurant at the Haven Holiday Park in Skegness
In brief: The new Burger King restaurant at the Haven Holiday Park in Skegness stands as a testament to the collaboration between Sprint and its partners. The consideration of design aesthetics, operational efficiency and hygienic standards has resulted in a state-of-the-art dining establishment that seamlessly integrates Burger King’s latest operational platform. This project highlights the capacity of industry leaders to adapt and innovate in order to meet the unique challenges presented by the evolving culinary landscape.
The new Burger King restaurant at the Haven Holiday Park, Skegness, was due to open its doors to the public on the 24th July 2023. This project involved extensive reconstruction of the establishment’s exterior and interior. The aim was to align the aesthetics with Burger King’s contemporary decorative scheme, while also introducing their cutting-edge DSS Open Format kitchen modular platform.
Given the unique challenge of implementing the advanced Burger King DSS Open Format kitchen platform within a pre-existing building design, Sprint was – as ever – up for the challenge. A collaborative approach with Sprint’s expert team and the Burger King Project Manager paved the way for a synergy between design and operational feasibility.
The Open Format kitchen concept, integral to Burger King’s modern approach, was integrated into the design. By doing so, customers are provided a view of the kitchen and preparation areas, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The kitchen equipment supplied and installed by Sprint adheres to Burger King’s mandated modular platform. This adherence ensures that the cooking, holding, preparation and wash-up areas meet the highest hygienic and operational standards. This commitment to excellence guarantees both a seamless workflow and a safe, sanitary environment for food preparation and service.
Sprint’s close collaboration with the Burger King Project Manager, on-site Project Manager and contractors was pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of the project within the specified timeline and budget. This coordinated effort facilitated efficient problem-solving, effective communication and timely execution.
