The Sprint Story

About Us

The inspirational story of Sprint Group combines hard work, self-belief, determination, discipline – and the value of spotting an opportunity.

It all began in 1994 when David Ryan set up the company with just £1,500 – which left little room for mistakes or immediate massive expansion.

Working to a tight budget encouraged good discipline and allowed the company to grow organically. With vast experience of the refrigeration sector, David worked from 7am to midnight every day to achieve success and small steps soon turned into giant strides.

After two years, Sprint progressed to supplying catering equipment and eventually to providing complete commercial kitchens and bars.

During our rapid growth, the Sprint mission has always remained the same – to provide a high standard of service and quality products at extremely competitive prices.

Indeed, speak to any of our customers and they will tell you that ‘speed of response’ is one of our strengths. That’s why, when David Ryan founded the company, he called it Sprint. Our brand identity has evolved over the years and if you look closely at our current logo (on the right hand side) you’ll see something quite interesting… click here for the full story.
