Sprint Group is pleased to present a report about our recent collaboration with Burger King for the establishment of a new Drive-Thru restaurant at Chester Retail Park.
Overseen by our dedicated Project Manager, Adrian Sharpe, and in close consultation with Burger King’s projects team, Sprint undertook the challenge of designing and implementing the latest Burger King DSS Open Format kitchen modular platform, complete with a dedicated Home Delivery Collection Area.
The new Drive-Thru Burger King restaurant is strategically located within the bustling Chester Retail Park development and is set to open its doors to the public in mid-March. Sprint Group embraced the opportunity to work on this project, ensuring that our design and implementation aligned seamlessly with Burger King’s operational requirements and standards.

Burger King’s innovative approach to kitchen design was highlighted through the introduction of a new concept trialled at Swindon last year. This concept emphasised the placement of all production and operational areas adjacent to the Front Counter, with a focus on table service and customer experience. Sprint Group rose to the occasion, integrating these elements into the design while maintaining Burger King’s strict hygiene and operational standards.
The kitchen equipment supplied and installed by Sprint Group adheres rigorously to Burger King’s mandated modular platform, guaranteeing optimal functionality across cooking, holding, preparation and wash-up areas.
The success of this project can be attributed to the close collaboration between Sprint Group, Burger King’s Project Manager, the Project Management Team and contractors. Despite facing challenges posed by the site and timeframe, Sprint Group’s Projects Team efficiently delivered the kitchen on time and within budget.
