airport4 Three years after completing a ground-breaking Jamie Oliver project at Gatwick, the Sprint team has been involved in a high profile airport pub overhaul.

We installed a commercial kitchen and bar at The Airport Pub & Grill near Manchester Airport, which has re-opened its doors after a 16 week closure following substantial investment from Stockport-based Robinsons Brewery.

Located on Ringway Road just 50 feet away from Manchester Airport’s Terminal 3 runway – the closest you can get to a plane without boarding it in the UK – the pub is a popular destination for plane spotters. The menu features British, American and European inspired burgers and steaks and craft and cask beers are available.

The makeover has been described by Robinsons as the most unique refurbishment in the company’s history and also signals a move back into managed houses.

Simon Taylor, business development manager for Robinsons’ managed houses operation, said: “Sprint worked closely with the development team from the very beginning of the concept providing ideas and solutions as we put our scheme together.

“The end result is a great kitchen which will help us meet the needs of our customers efficiently and effectively. The installation was smooth and on time.”

Sprint was also involved in Robinsons projects at The Waggon Inn at Uppermill and The Prince of Orange in Ashton under Lyne.
